A youth-led NGO in Parakou, Benin

Jeunesse Consciente du Bénin (JCB), or Conscious Youth of Benin, is a youth-led non-governmental organisation founded on 12 November 2025 in Parakou, in the Borgou department of northern Benin. We bring together young Beninese citizens who share the values of citizenship, responsibility and solidarity, with one ambition: to build a network of engaged young people in every commune of Benin.

Our mission is to promote among Beninese youth a culture of loyalty, respect for commitments and ethics in human, social and political relations, and to help form a responsible youth that takes an active part in the socio-economic development of Benin.

  Civic education and active citizenship

  Awareness sessions, leadership workshops and dialogue with local authorities help young people understand their rights and duties. Read more

Recent activities

• 29 May 2026: institutional meeting with the National Digital Investigations Center (CNIN).
• 17 May 2026: awareness session for students of the University of Parakou on cybercrime, gambling and the culture of easy gain.
• 11 April 2026: audience with the Departmental Director of the Republican Police of Borgou.
• 23 December 2025: audience with the Public Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Parakou.
• 19 December 2025: awareness session with parents in Banikanni, Parakou: “Understand, prevent and support our girls”.
